Construction compounds have dust, vibration, unreliable power and intermittent networks. Canopy edge units are fanless, wide-temperature and DIN-rail mounted, and keep running through network outages.
What we measure
PPE compliance
Hard hat, hi-vis, vest, eyewear. Real-time, at the gate and in compound zones. Flags before entry, not after.
Site density
Crowd density in defined work zones. Triggers an alert when a zone exceeds its planned occupancy for WHS reasons.
Vehicle movement
Forklift, truck, car classification at the gate. Anonymous; no ANPR, no number-plate storage.
For construction sites
- It works when the network drops. Most construction compounds in regional Australia have 4G at best. Our edge unit keeps inference running offline for weeks.
- It survives the site. Fanless, wide-temperature, DIN-rail mount. Rated for the dust and vibration of an active compound.
- Worker identification. We flag "person without hard hat in zone A", not "John Smith without hard hat". The WHS officer gets a count, not a named list.

Frequently asked questions
Will our workers be identified?
No. The PPE agent flags "person without hard hat in zone A", not a named individual. The WHS team sees aggregate counts and near-miss patterns, not a worker-level surveillance feed.
What happens when the network drops on site?
The Edge Unit keeps running. Construction sites in regional Australia have notoriously unreliable networks. We designed the hardware for exactly that — events queue locally and sync when connectivity returns.
Does this integrate with Procore?
Yes. PPE near-miss events can open a ticket in Procore automatically. Density alerts can route to your safety induction platform. We provide a documented webhook for custom integrations.
What documentation do we get?
A PIA pack, recommended signage copy, and a retention schedule, for review by your own WHS and legal teams.
